HALE BLACK CULTURAL CENTER
Tasked with designing a poster for an initiative on Ohio State's campus, I selected the Hale Black Cultural Center, the epicenter of social, cultural, and educational purpose on Ohio State's campus for issues of race, politics, and art.

Poster Inspiration and Mood Board
I found connections between Hale and the iconography of Pan-Africanism, a connection that guided my design process and influenced the brand identity.

Ideation

Final Product and Hypothetical Campus Activation
The bold lines are vibrant, geometric, angular, but taken as a whole create an abstraction of Africa.

Independent but unified. Collective but individual.

My research indicated many students ignore the Hale Black Cultural Center. This may be in part due to Center not being a centralized entity on Ohio State's campus: Hale lacks the external indicators to be seen. So I put the posters on the outside of the building, made business cards to be handed out during school tours, and envisioned a print-campaign across campus titled "The Collective Campaign by Hale Black Cultural Center.
